How to use it, exactly.

The tools, the file formats, the contract and the API, written down. Everything here describes this build as it runs today.

Toolset

13 tools, one table.

Kind, where it runs and what it needs.

ToolKindInputsWhat it does
chain.statusRead—Latest Base block: number, time, transactions, gas used and the gas price.
chain.balanceReadaddressETH balance, transaction count (nonce) and whether code lives at an address on Base.
chain.txReadhashStatus, block, sender, recipient and gas used of a Base transaction hash.
token.infoReadaddressERC-20 name, symbol, decimals and supply read on Base, plus public market data where it exists.
price.ethRead—ETH / USD from the Chainlink feed on Base, with the time it was last updated.
hash.textComputealgorithm, textSHA-256 or keccak-256 fingerprint of a text, computed in your browser.
json.pickComputesource, pathsKeeps only the fields you name (dot paths, comma separated) from a JSON value or an earlier step.
math.calcComputeexpressionArithmetic with + - * / % ^, parentheses and min, max, round, floor, ceil, abs, sqrt.
text.summaryComputetext, sentencesExtractive summary: the most representative sentences, quoted word for word in their order.
text.templateComputetemplateWrites a text from a template, filling {{s1.field}} placeholders with earlier results.
action.fileActionfilename, contentDownloads a text or JSON file to your device. Waits for your approval.
action.clipboardActiontextPuts a text on your clipboard. Waits for your approval.
action.signActionmessageAsks your wallet to sign a plain-text statement (no transaction, no gas). Waits for your approval.

Formats

Plans and run files.

Plain JSON you can read, store and check.

A plan is { intent, source, steps: [{ id, tool, title, params }] }. Step ids run s1, s2… and a parameter can reference an earlier result with {{s2}} or a field with {{s2.market.priceUsd}}. A reference to a missing value stops the run.

A run file (format cortiq-run/1) holds the plan, the log (one entry per step with status, filled inputs, output, error, and the approval decision for actions), and planHash, logHash, stepCount, actionCount.

Both hashes are keccak256 of the canonical JSON: object keys sorted at every level, no whitespace. The plan hash covers intent, source, model and steps; the log hash covers the whole log array.

Contract

Small, immutable and gas-only, on Base.

anchor(planHash, logHash, stepCount, actionCount) records a receipt for the caller and emits RunAnchored. Hashes must be non-zero, steps 1 to 64, approved actions no more than steps. One wallet can anchor a given log hash once.

Reads: receipt(id), receiptOf(runner, logHash), firstReceiptOf(logHash), runnerReceipts(runner, offset, limit).

Source, tests and the deployment check are in the repository: contracts/ and npm run verify-deployment. Readable copies: contract, tests.

API

Routes this site serves.

Read only, rate-limited, no keys needed.

GET /api/chain
Block, gas, ETH/USD, token
GET /api/token?address=
ERC-20 facts + market
POST /api/rpc
Read-only relay
GET /api/reason
AI planner status
POST /api/reason
AI plan (if enabled)

The token launched on o1 Launchpad; its address and live data are on the token page. A developer API for running workflows remotely is planned.

FAQ

Questions about Cortiq.

What is Cortiq?

Cortiq is a workflow tool for the agent era, with receipts on Base. Instead of giving you one answer like a chatbot, it turns a task into a numbered plan, runs that plan with a fixed set of tools, stops for your approval before any action, and keeps a log of everything that happened.

Planning and running happen in your browser. Base is used only when you choose to anchor a receipt of a run, and only hashes go on chain.

How does Cortiq work?

Four parts. Reason turns your task into steps (with a rule-based planner, or with an AI planner when the site operator has configured one). Flow runs the steps with 13 built-in tools and shows a status per step. Console keeps every run and its history in your browser. Verify handles the approval gate, exports the run as a JSON file with its two hashes, and lets you anchor those hashes on Base.

Anyone holding the file can recompute the hashes later and find the receipt, which proves the file has not changed since it was anchored.

What can the tools actually do?

Read the latest Base block and gas price, read an address's ETH balance and transaction count, look up a transaction, read a token's name, symbol, decimals and supply (plus public market data), read the Chainlink ETH / USD price, hash text, pick fields out of JSON, do arithmetic, quote an extractive summary and compose text from earlier results. Three action tools save a file, copy to the clipboard or ask your wallet to sign a statement; each one waits for your approval.

No tool can send tokens, swap, or move funds. Integrations with outside services are planned and are labelled that way.

Does the AI see my data?

Only if the site operator has turned the AI planner on, and then only the task text you typed is sent to the model provider to get a plan. Run results, wallet data and files are never sent. Without that setting the rule-based planner runs entirely in your browser and the page says so.

What is a run receipt?

A record in the CortiqRunReceipt contract on Base: the hash of the plan, the hash of the action log, the number of steps and approved actions, the block and the address that anchored it. The plan and log themselves stay with you.

Which network is Cortiq on?

Base (chain id 8453), an Ethereum layer 2 where gas is paid in ETH. The receipt contract and the $CORTIQ token both live on Base. Most wallets, including Coinbase Wallet, MetaMask and Phantom, reach it; the site adds the network to your wallet when you connect if it is missing.

How do I buy $CORTIQ?

$CORTIQ launched on o1 Launchpad and trades in its Uniswap v4 pool on Base. The contract address is 0x210a100048a7afeba769a54166102d99b7a47777; check it on the token page before any trade. A token can lose most or all of its value.

What is $CORTIQ for?

The planned use is paying for Cortiq services on Base: credits for hosted runs and integrations. None of that exists yet and nothing is promised; today every tool on this site is free to use and needs no token.

What are the risks?

Software can have bugs, including the receipt contract and this site. A receipt proves that a file existed unchanged at a block, not that the steps were correct or that the results are true. Chain data and public market data can be wrong or late. Tokens are volatile and can go to zero. Use Cortiq as a tool you check, not as advice.
